Cafe Mocha Radio is ranked No. 1 for the month of December by Arbitron in New York City on Saturday mornings, 6 – 8 a.m., where it is heard on YMF Media’s Urban AC WBLS (107.5). The show earned a 6.7 share, 6-plus, surpassing all other stations in its time slot including Clear Channel AC WLTW (Lite FM) and all news WCBS-AM. “Over the past year I’ve heard the show continue to grow with a good balance of hit music, entertainment andinformation. We’re really happy with the attention we receive from both talent and show management as well. *Cedric the Entertainer co-hosted the nationally syndicated weekend radio show Café Mocha on Saturday June 11, 2011 and during a lively discussion about comedians Katt Williams and Dave Chappelle, the ‘King of Comedy’ told co-hosts MC Lyte, comedienne Loni Love and radio veteran Angelique Perrin that he believes drugs are a factor in the erratic behavior both comics’ have become known for.
“You can’t necessarily count out the potency of the weed that they’re on as well,” Cedric told the co-hosts. “There is levels of weed that has been introduced to new society that we didn’t’ grow up on. We did some house parties and if you went to college, you had a frat party. But nowadays, the weed store is like going to Costco. CAFE MOCHA BRINGS THE RADIO EXPERIENCE TO WALMART BOOTH AT ESSENCE FESTIVAL
*At the recent 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, LA, the hosts of the new “Café Mocha” syndicated radio show – known as the “Essence of Radio” – comedienne Loni Love and host Angelique Perrin, were the featured personalities at Walmart’s booth alongside Walmart’s new rising star Mr. Rollback and Shaun Robinson from “Access Hollywood.”
On-site, Love and Perrin interviewed several visiting celebrities including the likes of actor LeVar Burton, who’s starring in a new Walmart TV production entitled “The Jensen Project” and Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC’s top rated morning talk show “The View,” R&B singer Trey Songz and legendary lead vocalist of Earth Wind & Fire, Phillip Bailey.
